He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Collison and Rhoda Collison; and his former wife Judy Olson. He is survived by: his girlfriend Judy Gilbertson; his brothers, David Collison and Jerry Collison; and his children, Amy Maxfield (Mark), Mary Schoeneck (Mike), Mark Collison (Silvia) and Dan Collison. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
