He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Thomas and Georgia Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Tabako; his brother Charles Thomas (Nancy); his children, Timothy (Rayanne), Edward (Stephanie) and Melissa Jo Daniels (Jeremy); and his grandchildren, Rachael, Megan, Sidney, Donovan, Zachary (Emma), Jacob, Sam, Sophie and Tyler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
