He was predeceased by: his parents, William Prins and Hilda Prins (Bents); his siblings, Marvin, Leroy Prins, Lucille Dornburg and Marlys Harberts; his sister-in-law Diane Prins (Lease); his grandson Rodney Prins; his parents-in-law, Henry and Elsie Doeden; and his brother-in-law Ralph Doeden.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Doeden; his daughter Barbara of Slayton, MN; his grandchildren, Nicole Wagner (Jay) of Lakefield, MN and Lee Meinders (Jena) of Fulda, MN; his son Thomas Prins (Tammy) of Reading, MN; his grandchildren, Karen Legg (Stan) of Altoona, AL and Christopher Prins (Ashley) of Wilmont, MN; his great grandchildren, Jayden Meinders, Marshall Meinders, Joshua Fajardo and Miranda Prins; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Dalton and Brianna Wagner; and his brothers, Gary Prins (Linda) of Worthington, MN and Rodney Prins (Carol) of Lake Butler, FL..
