He is survived by: his wife Mathie Thies of Jackson, MN; his sons, Travis Thies (Alma) of Jackson, MN, Chase Thies of Jackson, MN and Mike Thies (Ana) of Berea, KY; his sister Pat Stewart (Bob) of Jackson, MN; and his grandchildren, Gavin, Brandon, Triston, Alex, Lane, Elijah, Jaxon, Zaiden, Alexus, Isabelle, Olivia, Desteny, Britney and Hailey. He is also survived by many other step-children and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jackson American Legion (411 1st St, Jackson, MN 56143).
