It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlene Ann Platt of Worthington, Minnesota, born in Ashton, Iowa, who passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Marlene's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Marlene has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hatting and Frances Hatting (Warborg); her husband Eugene Platt; her son-in-law Mike Rieke; her granddaughter Annie Hartog; and her sister Adeline Goedken (Cyril).
She is survived by: her daughters, Loreen Gross of Worthington, Carol Kruger (Lenny) of Worthington, Michelle Hartog (Dan) of Atwater and Brenda Rieke of Atwater. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Our Lady of the Lakes Email (6680 153rd Ave NE, Spicer, MN 56288). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Our Lady of the Lakes (6680 153rd Ave NE, Spicer, MN 56288). A burial will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 7:28 PM at the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Cemetery (6680 153rd Ave NE, Spicer, MN 56288).
