He is survived by: his wife Loretta (Nau); his children, Ed Smith Jr. of Olathe, KS, Eric Smith (Kelli) of Howard, SD and Angela Carman (Jason) of Gardner, KS; his grandchildren, Dawson Colling (Kennedy), Spencer Colling, Lincoln Smith, Madeline Carman and Hudson Carman; and his in-laws, Don Rynda, Phil Nau (Jan), Leonard Nau (Sue), Mark Ruehle, Doug Nau (Lori) and Steve Nau (Mark). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
