He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Hoffman and Antoinette Hoffman; his brothers, Eldon, Dale and Jim; his parents-in-law, Henry and Charlotte Schmit; and his siblings-in-law, Dan Einck and Bev Hoffman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Schmit; his sons, Joel Detroit Lakes (Alan) and David (Angie); his granddaughter Jenna; his sisters, Roxanne Harberts and Sally Pinter (Joe); and his siblings-in-law, Lois Einck, Carol Hieronimus (Gene), Karen Leise (John), Wilma Hoffman, Charlotte Hoffman and Chuck Schmit (Theresa).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1215 7th Ave, Worthington, MN 56187).
