With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Mathwig of Woodbury, Minnesota, who passed away on January 12, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Parker and Esther Parker; her husband Roger Mathwig; her siblings, Clarice Keith, Don Parker and Lee Parker; and her siblings-in-law, Patsy Parker, Butch Schaller, Jerry Cox and Bob Peterson.

She is survived by: her sons, Scott Mathwig of Mound, MN and Rick Mathwig (Kim) of Woodbury, MN; her grandsons, Nathan Mathwig of Winona, MN and Joshua Mathwig of Woodbury, MN; and her siblings, Marlene Peterson, Karen Cox and Bob Parker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (1200 N North Ave, Fairmont, MN 56031). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
