He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou of Decorah; his sister Patricia Cattapan; and his children, Mary Lynn Gillin (Charles) of Mendota Heights, MN, Elizabeth Masla of St. Paul, MN, Catherine Masla of Cincinnati, OH, Tom Masla (Martha) of Nashville, TN, Michael Masla (Ellen) of Williamsburg, VA, Margaret Sheldon (John) of Cincinnati, OH and Anne Kloska (Ron) of Villa Hills, KY.. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
