John L. Rys Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. Rys of Woodbury, Minnesota, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Rys (Tony) and Mary Macosek (Maciaszek); and his sister Mary Louise Mayleben (Rys). He is survived by: his wife Judith Elaine Rys (Erickson); his children, Teresa Rys (Teri), David Rys and Sarah Rys (Jeff); his grandson Jacob Ptaszynksi (Jake); and his sister Joanne Spevacek (Rys).
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
