It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Edward Scherbel of Woodbury, Minnesota, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ora; his parents, John and Lillian; and his siblings, John, Bob, Arletta Cunningham, Yvonne Wilhelm and Jan Findley.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald II (Cheryl), Julie Tinkham, Jessica Gillitzer (Ron) and Karl (Therese); his grandchildren, Holly Tinkham, Elizabeth Whitten (Matt), Kristy Norton (Jeff), Casey Gillitzer (Kayla), Tess Scherbel, Jeffrey Gillitzer, Jocelyn Scherbel and Joseph Scherbel; his great grandchildren, Rose, Oliver and Vaeda Whitten; his grandchildren, Isla, Arlo Norton and Lincoln Gillitzer; and his brother Jim. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home (2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125). The military honors will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
