He was predeceased by: his parents, Mollie Whalen and Patrick Whalen; his friend Chloe Ann Kapaun; his sister Patricia Eckman; his wife Elizabeth Klarich; and his girlfriend Chloe Ann.
He is survived by: his children, Michael and Patricia of Montrose, MN; and his sister Phyllis Umhoefer (Pamela Kapaun) of Mankato, MN. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to Our Lady of Peace or Assumption Church.
