He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Maureen (John), Chris (Ingrid), Steve (Charlene) and Lynette (Dominic); and his grandchildren, Axel, Isaac, Beret, Isabella and Amelia. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made in Charles' name to King of Kings Church, Woodbury, earmarked for one of these three programs that he loved: Loaves and Fishes (providing free, healthy meals for people in need in Minneapolis); Feed My Starving Children (providing food for hungry children worldwide); or Friends of Africa Education (directly supporting a school in Tanzania).
