With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Gjertsen (Woodbury, Minnesota), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 9, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest "Sonny" and LaVerne Kerney (LaFrancis); her husband Charles "Chuck" Gjertsen; and her siblings, Sharon LaPham and Robert Kerney.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Martin (Scott) and Kevin Gjertsen (Sue); her granddaughters, Amanda Nowak (John) and Melanie Gjertsen; and her great grandchildren, Lucas, Lydia and Greta.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association.
