He is survived by: his wife Muriel Grannes of Wood Lake; his children, Mari Jo Babcock (Jim) of Marshall, John Schmidt (Diane) of Wood Lake and Amy Reyes (Joshua) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Zachery Reyes (Jesemini) and Jayden Reyes of Sioux Falls; and his siblings, Ordean Schmidt (Bonnie) of Glenwood, Edgar Schmidt of Minneapolis and Joann Willhite of Hastings. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
