He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gerdes and Leona Gerdes (Swedland); and his siblings, Gary Gerdes, Roberts Gerdes and Marilyn Gerdes.
He is survived by: his close friend Tammy Anderson of Wood Lake; his stepchildren, Gerald Gerdes of Maynard and Melissa Schmidt (Chris) of Marshall; his granddaughters, Alice and Esther; and his brother Terry Gerdes of Granite Falls.
A reception was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
