He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Breitenfeldt and Luella Breitenfeldt (Brasel); his grandson Carson Breitenfeldt; and his siblings, Arlin Breitenfeldt and Judy Quittschreiber.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine K. Ziegler; his children, Dennis Breitenfeldt (Merrie) of Long Prairie, MN, LeAnn Burgau (David) of Perham, MN and Steve Breitenfeldt (Lynn) of Perham, MN.; his grandchildren, Danelle Breitenfeldt, Jennie Danneman (Scott), Melissa Breitenfeldt (Emily), Katie Erickson (Doug), Devon Pipek (Kelly), Tim Pipek, Luke Burgau (Mikel), Chelsea Pederson (Alex), Carly Satter (Ryan), Connor Breitenfeldt and Claire Breitenfeldt; his great grandchildren, Katelynn, Alex, Henry, Simon, Mac and Sydney; and his brother Norman Breitenfeldt (Luella).
