He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoyhtya and Hilja Hoyhtya (Tanney); his wife Evelyn Meyers; and his siblings, Elmer, Walter, Arnold, Abner and Marie Jokela.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Boutot and Renee Drewicke (Cimarron); his grandchildren, Tara Drewicke, Grace Drewicke, Ainslie Boutot and Jack Boutot; and his siblings, Mayme Harstad, Wilbert Hoyhtya, Silvia Luedke (Leroy), Ruth Toppari (Don) and Millie Burkman (Ron).
