He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam North and Adeline North (Christianson); his significant other Bonnie Phelps; his siblings, Donald North, Lillian Hayden and Marion Carlson; and his pet Roxy.

He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Schrack, Jay North (Teri), Lynn Bryant (Jeff), Wendy Grages (Jeff) and Scott North; his grandchildren, Shane, Danielle (Trevor), Jake, Kadie, Josh (Emily), Zach, Eli and Blayke; and his great grandchildren, Naomi, Hazel, Bellamy, Harmon, Jayce and Lilah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and his many great friends.
