Howard, Jr., John Theodore Howard, Donna Howard Jerome, Theresa Howard Yahr and Anita Joan Howard; his nephews, Kevin Buckanaga, Steven Howard, Ryan Buckanaga and Conrad Buckanaga; his niece Debra Ann Buckanaga; his siblings-in-law, Curtis L. Buckanaga, Joseph Jerome, Kenneth Yahr and Bonnie Howard; and also Ole. He was also cherished by his family, relatives, and friends.

Their children practiced the American Indian culture, excelled in education, and made contributions to the American Indian community.
