She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Sterner and Anna Sterner (Fiecke); her husband Leo A. Laxen; her son-in-law Terry Scherping; her grandson Jamie Sides; and her siblings, Andrew, Margaret, Clement, Regina, Lucille, Marian, Mary, Agatha and Cletus.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Laxen (Linda), Donald Laxen (Cindy), Carol Bisping (Gerry), Gerald Laxen (Sharon), Linda Handt (Eugene), Kevin Laxen, Luanne Arlt (James), Jeannette Eastling (Edward), Gregory Laxen, Joann Scherping and Jeff Laxen; and her siblings, Florian, Edward, Eugene Sterner and Annette Grzeskowiak. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
