It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter J. Poetz (Winsted, Minnesota), born in Shakopee, Minnesota, who passed away on October 28, 2018, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Poetz and Mary Poetz (Green); and his sister Mary Lou Mulroy. He is survived by: his wife Nellie; his stepchildren, Lisa Hagen, Lonnie Lachermeier, Angela Lachermeier (Ken Kutz) and Lanny Lachermeier; his children, Carla Rohrer and Peter Poetz II; and his brothers, Lee Poetz, Larry Poetz (Kathleen) and Clifford Poetz. He is also survived by brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins; many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Pete's family who will make a donation in his name to a charitable cause.
