He was predeceased by: his parents, George Birkholz and Harriet Birkholz (Salter); and his brother-in-law Harold Banke. He is survived by: his siblings, Virginia Banke of Lester Prairie, MN and Garland Birkholz of Winsted, MN; his nephews, Timothy Banke and Justin Banke; and his niece Marilyn Pikal (Thomas).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (124 Maple St N, Lester Prairie, MN 55354). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at the St. James Lutheran Cemetery (1000 7th Ave, Howard Lake, MN 55349).
