He was predeceased by: his grandmother Rachel Shines; his aunts and uncles, Winifred Shines, Zerline Shines, L. C. Shines and Roscoe Watson; and his cousins, Benjamin Shines and Jonta Shines.
He is survived by: his fiancée Olivia Effelson; his mother Wilma Shines (Slyvester Chapman); his brothers, Marvin Shines, Gregory Shines, Marsean Shines and Steven Shines; his children, Marshe Shines, Myah Shines, Jashawn Spencer, Alisha Shines, Mia Shines, Maximus Shines, Madison Shines, Evah Shines and Marcus Shines Jr.; his siblings, Bryant Shines, Philip Chambers, Willie Chambers and Keith Chambers; his nieces and nephews, Crystal Shines and Sparkle Shines; and his siblings, Roscoe Bracy and Kiaela Bracy. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
