It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lyle C Sauer of Winona, Minnesota, born in Carpio, North Dakota, who passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sauer and Mary Sauer; his wife Jean Sauer; his brothers, Harold, Clarence, Earl and Richard Sauer; his sisters-in-law, Sandy Sauer and Margo Sauer; and his nephew Steven Sauer.

He is survived by: his siblings, Wilfred Sauer, Marjorie Knoll (John), Geraldine Stefanich (Greg) and Catheryn Gumeringer (William); and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn, Pearl and Vera Sauer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Winona Volunteer Services Food Shelf or the donor's choice.
