He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Wachowiak and Eleanor Wachowiak (Wiczek); his son Jon Wachowiak; and his siblings, Mary and Raymond.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Dean; his children, Kevin Wachowiak (Heidi), Jodi Lenz (Brian Mussman), Pete Wachowiak (Karen Schroer) and Christopher Wachowiak (Tracy); his daughter-in-law Lori Thompson (Craig); and his grandchildren, Jordan, Katie, Ryan, Bria (Noah), Brayden, Haley Ponce (Seth), Kendall, Sophia and Jaxon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
