With solemn reverence, we commemorate Donald E. Gensmer of Winona, Minnesota, born in Lewiston, Minnesota, whose life came to an end on May 21, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Gensmer and Selma Gensmer (Hoppe); and his sister Florence Schumacher. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Anderson; his children, Kim Thorsness (Arlo) and Kristine Schultz (Gary); his grandchildren, Bradley Thorsness (Trishia Abnet), Tracey Smale (Joshua), Heidi Heath (Chad) and Julie Morehouse (Jesse); and his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Archer, Anthem, Hopelyn, Neallon, Wyatt, Jacob, Emmett, Skyler and Sawyer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Memorials may be directed to First Ev. Lutheran Church in Minnesota City, Gundersen Medical Foundation, Winona Dialysis, or to a charity of choice.
