He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Nelson and Marian Nelson (Brostrum); and his brothers, David Nelson and Barry Nelson. He is survived by: his sister Katie Medearis (David); his children, America Fushianes (Gerald) and Darrel Nelson, Jr. (Liz); his grandchildren, Kordale, Destiny, Autumn, Jheri, Aden, Olivia, Lydia and Liam; and his great grandchildren, Bella, Mark, Lincoln and Vanessa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
