He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Thompson and Louise Thompson (Haliday); and his siblings, Charles (Gertrude Greethurst), Dorothy Thompson, Myrtle "Beth" (Arnold Stever), Kirk (Ethel Hornberg), Ruth (Delmer Steinhouse) and John (Mary Fjelstad).
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Susan Haedtke, Nancy Stever, Dorothy Patrick (Dale), Judy Steinhouse, Louise Kiecker, Julie Stever, Patrick (Janet), Daniel (Bonnie), Thomas (Deborah), James (Jenny), William Thompson and Peter Thompson (Jennifer). He is also survived by great-great nieces, nephews.
