He is survived by: his wife Joanne Butterfield of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Jamie (Kim) and Ashley Nelson (Randy); his grandchildren, Wyatt, Avelina and Jonathan; his siblings, Bill (Jeanie), Jerry (Loretta), Don (Sharon) and Jan Davis (Ron); his sisters-in-law, Melva Leonard and Sharyl Hoffman; and his in-laws, Lucinda Mason (Steve), Patty Pomplun (Patrick) and Sarah Nucci. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
