He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Helgerson and Hannah Helgerson (Eneback); his daughter Camille; his grandson Patric McGlynn; his brother Morris; his cousin Ernie; and his uncle Melvin Eneback.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Belange; his children, Robert (Kathy), Julie Helgerson of Palo, Tom Helgerson (Karla) of Aurora, Denise McGlynn (John) and Brenda Helgerson of Palo; his foster sons, Lance, Joe and Wade; his sister Dorothy Bell of Hibbing; his in-laws, Ila Fodness, Norma Jean Aho, Don Belange (Pam), Glen Belange, Richard Belange and Susan Canfield (Karl); and his pet Rex. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church (4096 CSAH 100, Aurora, MN 55705). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
