He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans and Anna; his stepmother Agnes; his sisters, Margaret Sabourin Eklund and Shirley; and his sister-in-law Margie Zahl.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Schultz of Fargo, ND and Dan Zahl of Duluth, MN; his grandchildren, Marlana Zahl, Kelly Blindauer (Brett), Erica Rodriquez (Richard), Adam Kubiski, Kayla Schultz and Kelsey Schultz; his great grandchildren, Dion, Isabella, Izak, Rocco, Rhiannon, Roman, Kyshen and Ethan; and his siblings, Roger Zahl of Halstad, MN, Linda Haedtke (Pete) of Cape Coral, Kathy Christiansen (Neil) of Plymouth, MN and Darla Jackson of Bemidji, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, social distancing will be practiced, and all must wear a mask to participate.
