He was predeceased by: his parents, William Eigenberg and Augusta Eigenberg; his brothers, Herbert Eigenberg (Barb) and Herman Eigenberg; his brother-in-law Kornell Kuehl; his parents-in-law, Emil and Elsie Ihrke; and his siblings-in-law, MaryAnne Holsen (John), Barbara Eigenberg, Sharmen Christpherson and David Vennix.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ihrke of Windom; his children, Dawn Eigenberg of Windom, Gwen Post (Troy) of Brewster and Kevin Eigenberg (Jackie) of Brandon, SD; his grandchildren, Erika Spampinato (Michael), Austin Eigenberg (Caitlin), Jacob Post (Mandy), Eric Eigenberg (Kathryn) and Matthew Eigenberg (Hannah); his great grandchild Marshall Eigenberg; his sister Giesela Kuehl; and his siblings-in-law, Lylas Eigenberg, Clarice Vennix, Leatrice Scott, Richard Ihrke (Margaret), Mike Ihrke (SueAnn) and Rusty Christopherson.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (2280 6th Ave, Windom, MN 56101).

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are preferred.
