He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sovia and Jeannie Sovia; his son Sean Sovia; and his sister Darlene. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Cleveland (Tyler Cleveland) of Sioux City, IA, Stephanie Sovia (JR Brewer) of Windom, MN and Stephen Sovia of Windom, MN; his siblings, Jack Sovia of Hartwell, GA, Paul Sovia of Southington, CT, Glenn Sovia of Nashville, TN and Sharon of Watertown, CT.; and his grandchildren, Elliot, Joeseph, Jaxton, Logan, Stephen, Acelyn and Emalee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
