Robert Luitjens Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Luitjens of Windom, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Luitjens and Anna Luitjens (Van Gelderen); his sister Ercell Marco; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Marco, Donald Rypkema and Mavis Rypkema.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Luitjens of Windom, Minnesota; his sons, Joel Luitjens (Dawn) of Windom and Neal Luitjens (Cary) of Little Chute, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Megan Mathiowetz (Eric), Abby Kipfer (Spenser), Nathan Luitjens (Kaitie), Benjamin Luitjens (Abby) and Sara Brochtrup (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Ava, Cora, Payton, Kasen, Hadley and Eliza; his sister Wilma Hatting of Sibley, Iowa; and his brothers-in-law, Edward Rypkema (Alice) of Lincoln and Norman Rypkema (Lori) of Sioux Falls.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church (300 E Iowa Ave, George, IA 51237). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
