He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Cook and Berniece Cook (Wieneke); his siblings, Loren, Jim, Virgil Cook, Virginia Deutsch and Marguerite Nath; his nephews, Dave Neyers and Kevin Cook; and his siblings-in-law, Dallas Poss, Ray Neyers, Virgil Jonas, Lawrence Deutsch, Lyle Wolf, Butch Langel, Paul Herman and Darlene Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Gini" Cook of Windom; his sons, Craig Cook (Julia) of Oviedo, FL and Jeff Cook (Melody Nelson) of St. Paul, MN; his granddaughters, Madison, Kennedy Cook, Livia and Harper Nelson; his sisters, Lorriane Poss of Sibley, IA, Betty Herman of Ellsworth, MN, Donna Langel of LeMars, IA and Mary Wolf of Sioux Falls, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Cook of Sioux Falls, SD, Alice Cook of Adrian and Willy Nath of Luverne, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (2280 6th Ave, Windom, MN 56101). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (532 17th St, Windom, MN 56101).
