He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Richardson and Norma Richardson (Esau); his parents-in-law, Henry and Winifred Schoeneman; and his sister Kathleen Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Richardson of Windom; his daughters, Michelle Riihl (Joe) of Windom and Melissa Richardson (Kraig Nelson) of Windom; and his grandson Tristan Riihl (Janessa Peters) of Rochester.
