She was predeceased by: her parents, John Weiland and Mabel Weiland (Aeling); her husband Donald Torkelson; her son Michael Torkelson; and her brother Robert Weiland.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Visker (Ron) of Windom, Peggy Rinkenberger (Dave) of Morris, MN and Sally Larson (Blaine) of Windom; and her sister Mavis Loken of Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Cottonwood County Agriculture Society (Cottonwood County Fair) or the First United Methodist Church in Windom.
