He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Holt and Leona Holt (Van Gerpen); his siblings, James Holt and Lisa Holt; his father-in-law Truman Jacobson; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Vought and Annette Jacobson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Holt of Windom; his sons, Travis Holt (Tonya) of Hastings, Troy Holt (Sara) of Sioux Falls, SD and Zach Holt (Kelcey) of Bingham Lake; his grandchildren, Courtney, Carson, Connor, Tanner and Georgia; his brothers, Roger Holt (Tammy Jo) and Rodney Holt (Carol); his sister-in-law Marie Holt of Keystone, SD; his mother-in-law Lorraine Jacobson of Windom; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Jacobson of Jordan, MN and Carol Vought of Windom. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the American Lutheran Church of Windom (906 Prospect Ave, Windom, MN 56101).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name may be made to the Business, Arts and Recreation Center (BARC) or the Windom Lions Club.
