He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Balk and Mildred Balk (Lais); and his siblings, Mark "Mac" Balk and Mary Ellen Strain. He is survived by: his wife Julie Balk; his children, Jamie "Bear" Balk and Darcy Ideker (Mike) of Hartford, SD; his grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, Caden, Cambree and Brynlee Ideker; and his siblings, Dave Balk of Buffalo, MN, Don Balk (Pat) and Julie Sturm. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and many cousins.
