She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bruns and Clara Bruns (Schlichte); her husband Leo G. Balster; and her daughter Vivian Balster. She is survived by: her children, Marian Hibma (Joe) of Harris, IA, James Balster (Marcie), Jane Eldal (Marc) of Omaha, NE, Carol Bell (Vernon) of Big Stone, SD and Dale Balster; and her grandchildren, Joy Pritchard (Jeremy), Nate Hibma (Sarah), Julie Stanzel (Patrick), Nick Hibma (Dondi), Rachel Balster, Sarah Balster, Chad Balster (Gretchen), Nick Balster (Pam), Josie Moore (Zan), Sam Eldal, Aaron Eldal (Sarah) and Emily Rahfaldt (Nick). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
