He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Simonson and Carol Simonson; his brothers, Arvid and Gary; and his nephew Luke.

He is survived by: his close friend Suzen Dehnel; his daughter Shayna; his grandson Ryver; his sisters, Lois (Dave Isaacson) and Bernadine (Dale Reed); his nieces and nephews, Katie Simonson, Neil Simonson, Olivia Cameron, Jason Isaacson (Jodi), Dara Swanson (Kent), Rhett Reed (Sheila), Larron Reed and Derek Reed (Billie); his great-nephews, Roger Robertson (Terrah) and Joseph Packer (Erin); and also, Noah, Zeke and Asher. He is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews, and friends.
