He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vern Corneil and Lucille Corneil (Tweet); his wife Karen Corneil; his children, David Corneil (Christel), Julia Corneil-Smith (Jeremi), Jonathan Corneil (Jennifer) and Lucky; his grandchildren, Drew, Olivia Corneil, Ivan, Megan Sutherland, Kyleigh, Sophia Chickering, Marshall Thomas Smith and Adoring; and his siblings, Nell Herzer (David), Sharon Hansen (Dan), Peggy Boese (Cedric) and Rody Young (Tanya).

First Baptist (later Refuge) became the foundation for his strong faith, life lessons, and life long friendships.
