It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Polta of Willmar, Minnesota, born in New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Groebner and Ruth Groebner (Galstad); her husband Jacob John Polta; her daughter Teresa; and her siblings, Marcella, Stuart, David and Richard.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Polta of Minnetonka, Anne Polta of Willmar, John Polta (Anne) of Golden Valley, Catherine Winkelhake (Mark) of Plymouth and Joseph Polta (Karen) of Eden Prairie; her brother Tom Groebner of New Ulm; and her sister-in-law Mary Groebner of Lincoln. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
