Norman Christensen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Christensen of Willmar, Minnesota, who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Christensen and Esther Christensen (Jepsen); his wife Florence Redepenning; and his siblings, Julia Adams, Paul Christensen, Helga Zahrbock, Hans Christensen, Marvin Christensen, Ella Smith, Harold Christensen and Virginia Nieno.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Renner (Danny Grossnickle) of Monticello, Michael Christensen of Willmar, Susan Christensen of Willmar, Connie Butorac (Gus) of Bloomington, IL and Terri Poirier (Keith) of Lowell, MA; his grandchildren, James Olson (Jenny), Stephanie Olson, Erica Hedrick (Kim), Lindsey Wissler (Christian), Kara Campbell (Brian), Austin Butorac (Megan), Alex, Tyler Poirier (Jillian) and Lauren Poirier; and his sister Violet Roberts. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A prayer was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home (1000 19th Ave SW, Willmar, MN 56201). Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (1401 6th St SW, Willmar, MN 56201).
Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or Bethesda Hospice.
