She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Richards and Carol Richards; her in-laws, Pat and Frank Saunders; her brothers-in-law, Jim Saunders and Tom Saunders; and her brother Craig Richards.
She is survived by: her husband Jon Saunders of Bird Island; her children, Lindsey Meyer (AJ) of St. Louis Park, Ben Saunders (Kendra) of Willmar and Alec Saunders (Emily) of Willmar; her grandchildren, Marion, Nora, Hannah, William, James and Meredith; and her siblings, Mike Richards (Michelle), Cathy Wallace (Ken) and Karen Carpenter (Tim).
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Willmar United Methodist Church (1818 9th St SW, Willmar, MN 56201). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Vinje Lutheran Church (1101 Willmar Ave SW, Willmar, MN 56201).
In lieu of flowers, Linda's family plans to start a scholarship fund for Willmar Senior High School students in her honor. Donations can be made to the Willmar Civic Scholarship Association (https://whs.willmar.k12.mn.us).
