It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Lee Matthys of Willmar, Minnesota, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carvinus Matthys and Mary Matthys (Bossuyt); and his brothers, Duane Matthys (Frances) of Marshall, Minnesota, Denis Matthys (Bonnie) of Cottonwood, Minnesota and Bernard Matthys (Mary) of Apple Valley, Minnesota.
He is survived by: his wife Kay; his children, Russ Matthys (Missy) of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Rita Jorgenson (Brian) of Montevideo and Renee Barker (Jeff) of Brandon; his grandchildren, Lissa, Isaac Matthys, Mathea Jorgenson, Ryan and Reese Barker; and his siblings, Eddie Matthys (Connie) of Durango and Mary Ellen Hodapp (Ron) of Libertyville, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Len's name are preferred to the following organizations: Alzheimer's Association, Friends of San Lucas, CentraCare - Gorecki Guest House.
