It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Whitmer of Willmar, Minnesota, who passed away on March 18, 2021, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Podratz and Martha Podratz (Koehntop); her spouse Joy Whitmer; her brother Burnard Podratz; and her son-in-law David Buffington.
She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Woods (Don) of Mendota Heights, Joyce Hagen (DuWayne) of Buffalo, Bev Buffington of Perham and Connie Strandberg (Dick) of Minnetonka. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, besides many other relatives.
