He is survived by: his parents, José Luis Núñez-Castillo and Oliva Garcia of Núñez; his wife Dilsia Núñez; his children, Ethan, Alessandro and Alice; and his siblings, Jesús Núñez, Armando Núñez (Lydia), María Montoya (José) and Lilia Morales (Humberto). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
