He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Schlick and Ada Schlick (Tekippe); his stepdaughter Karen Fenstra; his sister Anne Lauer (Gary); his stepson-in-law Jim McLaren (Kathryn); and his sister-in-law Linda Hinnant.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Fenstra; his stepdaughters, Kathryn McLaren and Janet Cleveland (Richard); his grandchildren, Karenda, Jae McLaren (Jordanz Smith) and Chase McLaren; his brothers, Jim Schlick (Sharon) and Joe Schlick (Mary Jo); and his brothers-in-law, Gary Lauer and Lyle Hinnant (Mary). He is also survived by his family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Church of St. Mary (713 12th St SW, Willmar, MN 56201). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
